Sandeep Kashyap, CEO and founder of ProofHub, believes that communication is an essential pillar of leadership and professional success. That is why he created ProofHub, a project management tool designed to bridge this gap for groups, organisations and teams.

Meet the man behind ProofHub, who in our last interview with People Who Rock the Web shares his advice on project management and business creation.

Tell us about your journey.

I started working as a web designer at a young age for a few years. Although I’ve never had any experience in design, I’ve always liked it. I started from scratch, I learned, and I grew up pretty good. I founded SDP Labs in 2007 and launched ProofHub in 2011. I am now also very involved in the design of ProofHub, certainly more than before.

How did you come up with the idea for ProofHub?

It all started with my desire to develop something for web designers that could ease their ongoing struggle for approval and feedback. The introduction of ProofMini, a validation tool for rapid approval and feedback management, quickly became an important project management software: ProofHub, makes work easier, faster and smarter.

How does ProofHub differ from other project management tools?

With more than 85,000 teams using ProofHub, it is without doubt one of the most powerful project management tools for external and internal teams to make team members work better and faster. ProofHub stands up in a very busy environment. The software enables teams to split complex projects into smaller tasks, assign and plan each task, and track project progress – all integrated with email.

What challenges have you faced and how did you overcome them?

There were major challenges, such as staying ahead of the competition, getting to the heart of the development process and planning projects. Without going crazy, I have always been able to maintain a balance in work and life that helps me enormously to turn every great challenge into a great achievement.

What is the advice on project management for small businesses?

I know that small businesses have to deal with a lot of activities in order to flourish. To successfully manage and implement projects, use technology in your daily work. Companies need to focus on the important things, like. B. Stop sending and receiving email, use a calendar to optimize their planning, create a workflow and invest in strategies to achieve project objectives on time and on budget.

How can I stay up to date with the latest business and technology trends?

It’s very difficult to keep track of things when there are a lot of things to deal with. I do this by means of online information sources, social media groups, by following the people who influence social media and by spending time reading every day. I never pass up an opportunity to talk and work with interesting people.

What do you see for the future of project management?

Talk about the future: Project management is becoming commonplace, as is the need for technical tools related to work schedules, time management and programs. I see further progress in the development of agile software and better teleworking solutions in the future.

What do you do outside of work for fun?

To have fun, I like to spend time with my family, children and friends. I’m always looking for good company and a good conversation. I also like to stay active by training and practicing with my ProofHub team.

What is the next step for ProofHub?

With the brand new ProofHub+, our next step is to offer users an even smoother workflow that makes work easier, smarter and faster. We plan to introduce many new features that will make it easier to manage the work, and I will continue to work on my obsession to constantly improve the product. This year we will experiment with new products. I want the team to improve, both individually and collectively, and continue to learn.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

It is aimed at all young entrepreneurs who want to succeed: Remember, to reach the top, you have to accept the possibility of failure, go through ups and downs, and struggle with the future. My wish is that everyone here will continue to strive, be inspired and become the best of themselves. Think about how you can use your unique skills to help shape the world in the direction you want.

Thanks, Sandeep! What did you like most about his story?
